On 29 November the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen was awarded the Würth Prize for Corporate Social Responsibility and the “outstanding regional and youth projects which it has intiatied.” The commitment of the orchestral members was recognized for their ” vibrant introductions to musical life with a future”.

The 15,000 euro prize has been awarded to artists, ensembles and projects every year since 1991. Previous winners include musicians such as the cellist Sol Gabetta (2012) and conductor Gustavo Dudamel (2008), ensembles such as the National Youth Orchestra (2011) and National Children’s Orchestra of Venezuela (2000), and institutions such as the Berlin Philharmonic for their education programme.
