Paavo Järvi has been awarded an Order of Merit by the Estonia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for his “exceptional contribution to raising Estonia’s profile in the world”.
On presenting this year’s awards, Foreign Minister Eva-Maria Liimets commented “On the 103rd birthday of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we would like to remember and thank our colleagues and partners, whose contribution to Estonia’s foreign service, implementing our foreign policy and thereby the statehood of Estonia is beyond remarkable. They have earned the highest recognition from the Foreign Ministry – the Order of Merit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs”.
